What’s the Best Age for a Facelift?

1

The eventual development of lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, and numerous other aesthetic facial concerns is an inevitable part of aging for every individual. However, due to genetics, lifestyle choices, environmental elements, and several additional factors, these signs of aging don’t always manifest at the same point in time (or to the same degree) for every man and woman. Furthermore, a growing number of people are receiving preventative skin care treatments and cosmetic injectables earlier in life, effectively delaying the need – or even the desire – for a rejuvenative surgical procedure.

For these reasons, there is not a particular age that’s considered “ideal” for facelift surgery. In many cases, a facelift may be an excellent option for one 50-year-old while it may not be a good option for another 50-year-old. The same holds true for individuals in their 30s, 40s, 60s, and beyond. It’s all dependant upon one’s unique aging process, life experiences, and aesthetic desires.

If you are interested in facelift surgery, I suggest scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has significant experience in all forms of facial rejuvenation. Following a physical examination and in-depth discussion, he or she should be able to recommend the most appropriate treatment or procedure for your specific needs and goals.
